• Julian Widmer is currently a Ph.D. Student in the Caflisch group.

    Mission Statement:

    Julian Widmer graduated from ETH Zurich in December 2018 with a MSc in Biological Chemistry, where he gathered experience in the holistic approach of systems biology as well as the reductionist approach of bioorganic chemistry and biophysics. After working with the Swiss Federal Office of Topography on natural language processing, computer vision and document retrieval, he joined the Caflisch group in 2020.
    In the Caflisch group, he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in computational structural biology, following his interest in applying quantitative methods to biological systems.
    Outside of the lab, he enjoys team sports, cooking, and exotic plants.
