• Ilaria Salutari is currently a Ph.D. Student in the Caflisch group.

    Mission Statement:

Ilaria obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, both in biotechnology, at the University of Parma, Italy, in 2014 and 2016, respectively. She joined the Caflisch group in 2017, pursuing a Ph.D. in the field of computational structural biology, studying the dynamics of simulated macromolecular complexes (tripartite and bipartite) involving protein-antigenic peptide interactions.

In general, her research interests regard protein mechanisms and their role in cellular processes, the immune system’s complex machinery, and the basis of autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis. Her free time is usually dedicated to drawing, running, or trekking.

Ilaria Salutari has been a member of the Caflisch group from 01/2017 - current.
