• Maria Rafaela Lambrinos is currently a Intern in the Caflisch group.

    Mission Statement:

    Maria completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedicine at the University of Zurich in 2023 and continued with a Master’s degree specializing in quantitative biomedicine. Driven by a strong interest in using computational simulations to elucidate biomolecular mechanisms, she joined the Caflisch group in 2025. Her research focuses on molecular dynamics simulations of the protein α-synuclein, which plays a central role in Parkinson’s disease.

    Outside of research, Maria is passionate about group fitness and works as an instructor for Bodycombat classes.
